Audio Interview with Alec Wilkinson

In this 1985 interview, author of A Violent Act and Big Sugar, Alec Wilkinson talks with Don Swaim about Wilkinson's experiences as a young policeman and his knack for creating rock and roll music in college. In addition, he discusses the duties of a writer for the New Yorker and describes how his book, Moonshine Midnights, was created. Wilkinson is the recipient of a Lyndhurst Prize, a Robert F. Kennedy Book Award and a Guggenheim fellowship.
