In this 1990 interview with Don Swaim, Arthur Hailey talks about his book, The Evening News, which is based on terrorism and news. He gained his story telling expertise while his mother told him stories during his childhood. His desire to be a news reporter followed him into adulthood, and he discusses his struggle to get experience in the field.
