Don Swaim Interviews

Audio Interview with Ben Lucien Burman

Ben Lucian Burman didn't expect the Catfish Bend series to become as popular as it did. In this interview he shares his joys and excitement of having his book reprinted in eleven different languages. Oddly enough, he has trouble remembering what he wrote in his own books, and makes the observation that this is not uncommon for writers. A graduate of Harvard and having fought in both World War I and World War II, Burman shares a lifetime of experiences in this 1983 interview with Don Swaim.
