Don Swaim Interviews

Audio Interview with Dennis McFarland

Dennis McFarland, author of The Music Room, School for the Blind, and A Face at the Window, went to school at Brooklyn College to study art and music and earn a degree in music composition. He wrote a few music pieces, but decided to switch to writing fiction. He started off writing short stories a manner to practice writing, but ten years had passed and he was still writing short stories. He talks about how he prefers to write short stories over trying to write a novel and the differences between writing novels and short stories.
