Donald Westlake discusses his novel, Drowned Hopes, and the characters within it, during this 1990 interview. He also informs us of how he got his first story published at the ripe age of 20. Donald Westlake is also the author of Jimmy the Kid, Bank Shot, and Dancing Aztecs (among many others), and has written numerous screenplays.
