Audio Interview with Fannie Flagg

Fannie Flagg discusses her latest novel, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café, and where some of her character ideas came from. She also describes what it was like growing up in Birmingham , Alabama during the Civil Rights Era, and how that experience is woven into her book. She also comments on the soul-food recipes in the back of the book. Her novel was later turned into the movie Fried Green Tomatoes.
