Graeme Base, a renowned creator of children's picture books, talks to Don Swaim in this 1987 interview. Base talks about his book, Animalia, and discusses the concept of the book and his two favorite drawings in it. He also talks about the art community in Australia, and his first experiences in New York City . Graeme Base has also written and illustrated The Eleventh Hour and My Grandma Lived In Gooligulch.
