Audio Interview with Herbert Gold

Herbert Gold, author of Haiti: Best Nightmare on Earth and Travels in San Francisco, has been writing since he was a child, and he has published his first novel titled The Viking. Some of his endeavors include moving many times and fighting in WWII. Along with his past, Don Swaim asks Gold some questions about his book, Mr. White Eyes and about his writing style.

Herbert Gold explains his conception for his novel, A Girl Of Forty, in this 1986 interview. Other topics discussed are his characters in the novel, their relationships with other characters and violence in America. He is also the author of a collection of short stories, entitled Lovers and Cohorts.
