Herbert Mitgang, a Fellow of the Society of American Historians, discusses his book, Dangerous Dossiers: FBI Files on Authors and Artists. He explains why the government keeps dossiers, how you go about getting information from the government, and he gives examples of people who have dossiers and why they have them. Herbert Mitgang has also written Abraham Lincoln: A Press Portrait and Newsmen In Khaki: Tales of a World War II Soldier-Correspondant.
