Ian McEwan stops by in 1990 to talk with Don Swaim about McEwan's novel, The Innocent. Ian McEwan talks about his trips to Moscow and Berlin that led to ideas for the story. He also fills us in on the many places he has lived, his past education, and what a normal day of his life is like. Ian McEwan is also the author of The Comfort of Strangers, The Immitation Game, and Black Dogs. He is also the recipient of the Somerset Maugham Award and the Los Angeles Times Prize for Fiction.
