In this 1984 interview, Don Swaim talks with Mary Higgins Clark about the movie making process, and her role in the film version of Where Are the Children. Mary Higgins Clark began as a short story writer, and later wrote her first novel, Aspire to the Heavens, about George Washington. The novel was poorly received due to confusion with the title, but she proved to herself that she could write a full length novel. Following this, she found her niche in the suspense genre, which she continues to write today.
