Audio Interviews with Mordecai Richler

 

Mordecai Richler, the author of Cocksure, Joshua Then and Now and many other novels, discusses his background and why he chose to take his career to London instead of staying in Canada, where he is originally from. In this 1983 interview, he also describes the development of the musical version of his popular novel, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, as well as his plans for the future.

Mordecai Richler, author of Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang, Barney's Version and other books, talks to Don Swaim about the troubles of writing. Richler tells of horrors when writing several false beginnings to a book and constantly starting over. He also says that he has recieved ideas from his good research writing process.
