Don Swaim Interviews

Audio Interview with Nancy Willard

Nancy Willard tells us that she teaches students to write and read poetry. She explains how she pieced her first novel together, Things Invisible to See and why she chose to set it during the 1940s. Nancy is an advocate of storytelling and reading out-loud and she explains why she thinks storytelling will help keep peoples’ reading habits alive even with the threat of television slowing them down. She is also the author of many children’s books and books of poetry.
