Don Swaim Interviews

Audio Interview with Steve Shagan

Steve Shagan talks with Don Swaim in this 1993 interview about growing up in Brooklyn. Shagan tries to dispel the myth that Brooklyn is part of New York City. When growing up in Brooklyn, Shagan found it to be isolated from the rest of the world. Even today it would not be hard to recreate Brooklyn from the 1930s because the city has changed so little. Steve Shagan moved to Hollywood in 1956 and made his way into the movie industry. Shagan eventually found success in writing. He has written and produced films such as Voyage of the Damned, Gotti, and Primal Fear.
