Studs Terkel has been a broadcaster since the 1930s in Chicago. He claims to have known everyone in the entire city and it seemed true when he walked around town. He says he was constantly followed by a giant crowd. Studs Terkel talks about his life of writing and broadcasting in this 1988 interview with Don Swaim.
