Audio Interview with Tracy Kidder |
| Tracy Kidder won the Pulitzer Prize for his second book The Soul of a New Machine, a non-fiction story that tracks a team of engineers at Data General Corporation working on an innovative new computer. It follows the life of the project and those involved in it for over a year. Scared his follow-up would not live up to his Pulizer-prize-winning work, Kidder spent a good amount of time writing his next book called House. House is about a house in Massachusetts, but it’s not just about the nails and planks. It follows the conflicts and personalities involved. For over a decade, many of the best writers of the English language found their way onto Don Swaim's daily two-minute CBS Radio show, Book Beat. His New York-based program was derived from longer interviews, sometimes 40-minutes in length. Found exclusively here, Wired for Books proudly webcasts these conversations in their entirety using RealAudio. © Ohio University |
