Don Swaim Interviews

Audio Interview with Vicki Goldberg

Vicki Goldberg, author of The Power of Photography: How Photographs Changed Our Lives, American Photography: A Century of Images and other books about the arts and communications, begins the interview discussing the earliest days of photography from daguerreotypes and halftone prints to digital photography. The photograph was originally believed to be an absolute truth, but now an image can be easily manipulated using digital technologies. In addition to the history of photography, Vicki Goldberg talks about the importance and inspiration the photograph has caused throughout the years.
